Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral Therapy encourages the body’s natural healing system to improve the function of the Central Nervous System. It can be helpful in nervous disorders, motor coordination problems, ADD, insomnia, and headache for example. The therapist uses a light touch to assist in the balance of the natural rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. It is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscles and connective tissue (fascia). *Included in other massage modalities.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular therapy is a massage modality which helps to bring balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. It uses advanced techniques of trigger point pressure therapy to break the stress-tension-pain cycle. It improves the function of joint, muscles, and movement as it releases endorphins, which are the body’s own natural pain killers.

Myofascial Release (MFR)

Myofascial Release is a massage technique for stretching the fascia which is the connective tissue under the skin (much like that thin layer or membrane under chicken skin or the shell of an egg).  After locating the fascial tension, gentle pressure is applied in the direction of the restriction.  Myofascial Release is an effective therapeutic technique for the relief of such things as cervical pain, back pain, Fibromyalgia, scoliosis, restricted range of motion, chronic pain, and headache for examples.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point focuses on releasing trigger points, which are small, tight knots that develop in muscles that may even cause pain in other areas of the body (an effect known as “referral pain”). Trigger point massage involves a more targeted approach focused directly on releasing painful trigger points, so the sessions are meant to be more therapeutic and results-oriented than luxurious or relaxing.

Prenatal

Prenatal massage is massage that is ONLY done during the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy. We have pillows and wedges to make the client comfortable while the therapist does the massage.

Specialized Therapies

Muscle Release

Muscle Release is a type of massage that restores postural balance to the body by releasing abnormal muscle and soft tissue tension. As the therapist assists the client’s body to return to its natural, neutral postural position, the body will therefore be assisted in the reduction of pain and discomfort in movement and at rest.

Lympathic Draining

Through gentle strokes, LDT helps to boost immune system, detox tissues, and lead to overall wellbeing.  LDT increases lymph flow by 20-30% creating a vacuum that pulls toxins and congestion from muscles, tissues, and sinuses. This therapy can also soothe the nervous system, decrease stress/anxiety and improve sleep.  Lymph therapy can provide relief from chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia and headaches. Helps prevent lymphedema after breast surgery and lymph node removal. Must schedule with Patrice
